Below is a list of immigration-related services and supports. These resources can assist with legal help, documentation, rapid response, preparedness toolkits, and more. If you need additional support or aren’t sure where to start, call 2-1-1 to speak with a live call specialist.

All people in the United States, regardless of immigration status, have certain rights and protections under the U.S. Constitution.
Know Your Rights Red Cards are wallet-sized cards to help individuals understand their rights during encounters with immigration enforcement.
These cards include the list of rights in Spanish on the front and English on the back for ICE agents, indicating that the individual is choosing to remain silent.

WE Have Rights

One Community Action provides know your rights training in English, Spanish, and Mixteco.
Rapid Response Networks
In California, respond to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detentions and raids in our communities. Many counties have a local rapid response hotline available 24/7. If the person was detained by ICE within the last 24 hours.
805 Immigrant Rapid Response Hotline: Call 805-870-8855 or text “ALERTA” to receive real-time updates, including updates about ICE activities in the area. The 805 Immigrant Rapid Response Network provides local support and resources to anyone facing immigration enforcement actions in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura Counties.

If You Are Detained:
- You have the right to call a lawyer or your family.
- You have the right to be visited by a lawyer while in detention.
- You also have the right to have your attorney with you at any hearing.
- Most people are eligible to be released on bond or with other reporting conditions.
- If you are denied release after being arrested, ask for a bond hearing before an immigration judge.

The importance of creating Family Preparedness Plan (Immigrant Preparedness Toolkit)
Family preparedness plans provide immigrants and mixed-status families with a proactive, and organized strategy to protect their children, assets, and overall well-being in the event of an emergency like detention, deportation, or separation.
These plans help reduce stress and confusion during a crisis by ensuring vital information and legal arrangements are in place ahead of time.

Need Assistance with Completing a Family Preparedness Plan:
- Future Leaders of America (FLA) Staff offers assistance in completing a family preparedness plan. Services are provided in-person or via Zoom. Services are offered in both Spanish and English. To schedule an appointment, call 805-259-1450 or email FLA at info@futureleadersnow.org
- MICOP (Mixteco Indigena Community Organizing Project) offers assistance with completing a family preparedness plan. Services are provided in Mixteco, and other Mexican indigenous languages, Spanish, and English. Appointment will be prioritized for families that speak a Mexican Indigenous Language. Call 805-483-1166 to schedule an appointment.
- One Community Action Officers assistance with a completing family preparedness plans. Services are provided in Spanish, Mixteco, and English. Call 805-720-1897 or email info@onecommunityaction.org to schedule an appointment.

Preparedness Plans for Families with Pets
If concerned about potential deportation, temporarily unable to care for your pet, or in an emergency. Use this toolkit to plan for your pet's future. Identify who can care for your pet, and any medical history your pet may have.
Unaccompanied Minors Who Have No Lawful Immigration Status
The Administration for Children & Families’ Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is responsible for children who do not have lawful immigration status and do not have a parent or legal guardian in the United States. These children may be referred to as “unaccompanied children”. The ORR’s Unaccompanied Children Bureau takes unaccompanied children in the least restrictive setting that is in the best interest of the child.

Office of Congressman Salud Carbajal
For help with general immigration-related concerns or case-specific issues involving federal immigration agencies, you may contact the Office of Congressman Salud Carbajal. His office may assist with:
- Checking the status of an immigration case or application
- Detention Facility location assistance
- Locating a detained family member
- Confirming whether there is a deportation or removal order

National Immigration Law Center
Provides Guidance for Employers on what to do if Immigration comes to your workplace.
National Day Laborer Organizing Network
Offers a range of materials for Employers and individuals alike.
California Employers Association
Consulates:
- Issuing and renewing passports and travel documents, including but not limited to birth and death certificates.
- Helping in emergencies like accidents or lost belongings.
- Helping with detention or deportation proceedings.
- Processing visas for foreign visitors.
- Promoting cultural exchange and trade.
- Other services include serving as a liaison to other family members in their home country, supporting evacuations, and more.

U.S. Department of State- Bureau of Consular Affairs
Repatriation Programs:
Aim to facilitate the return of individuals to their country of origin. The program supports individuals who are voluntarily or involuntarily deported. The services can include cash assistance, temporary shelter, transportation assistance, case management, and referrals to other social services.
