Perinatal Substance Use Services
Provided by COUNTY OF VENTURA - PUBLIC HEALTH (HCA)
Descriptions
Provides Public Health Nursing services to women who are at risk for, or are using alcohol, drugs, or tobacco during pregnancy. The nurse will follow the family throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and early infancy. Services include the following:
- Comprehensive health assessments
- Evidence based screening tools(including maternal depression, child development, parent-child interaction
- Prenatal and Postpartum Education
- Parenting Education
- Health Education
- Information and Referral to community resources
Eligibility
Must be a woman who is at risk for, or is using alcohol, drugs, or tobacco during pregnancy. Identified by nurse or case manager
