Childhood Injury Prevention Program
Provided by COUNTY OF VENTURA - PUBLIC HEALTH (HCA)
Descriptions
Provides education on preventing accidental injuries in children under 14 years of age. Topics include:
- Home safety
- Drowning prevention
- Poison prevention
- Wheeled sports safety
- Pedestrian safety
- Child Passenger Safety Program
Violators of the Child Passenger Safety Law are invited to attend a class on the proper use of child car seats. Eligible individuals who attend a class are economically may also receive assistance in obtaining a car seat.
Eligibility
Open to all. To receive assistance in obtaining a car seat individuals must meet federal poverty guidelines.
