Descriptions
The following services are ONLY available during a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS).
Provides services for individuals that are electricity-dependent, and require power for medical devices, mobility devices, and/or communications devices during PSPS events.
"Electricity dependent" definition: Individuals that require power for devices/equipment for health, safety, and independence.
Examples: Mobility devices, assistive technology, respiratory equipment, vision and communication aids, service animals that use electrical devices, powered equipment supporting regulation of mental or emotional health, or refrigerated medication.
Services include:
- Emergency food resources
- Transportation/relocation assistance (if available)
- Portable backup batteries
- Medical Baseline Enrollment information/assistance
Eligibility
Individuals that require power for devices/equipment for health, safety, and independence.
