Children's Medical Services
Provided by COUNTY OF VENTURA - PUBLIC HEALTH (HCA)
Descriptions
Financially assists families with medical care associated with an eligible medical condition, which is handicapping or catastrophic in nature to a youth up to age 21. Assistance includes:
- Expert medical care
- Hospitalization
- Equipment
- Braces
- Physical and Occupational Therapy
- Case management
Also provides confidential assistance and case management for children who are HIV positive, or at risk for HIV.
Eligibility
Must be a youth 21 years of age or younger who has special medical needs due to chronic medical conditions like:
-Cystic fibrosis
-Hemophilia
-Cerebral palsy
-Heart disease
-Cancer
-Traumatic injuries
-Infectious diseases
