Assistance Dog Special Allowance Program
Provided by CALIFORNIA STATE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES, COMMUNITY CARE LICENSING DIVISION (CCLD)
Descriptions
Provides a monthly payment of $50 to eligible persons who use a guide, signal, or service dog to help them with their disability-related needs. The allowance is to help pay the costs of food, grooming, and health care for the dog

Eligibility
-Must be a resident of California, receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), State Supplementary Payment (SSP), In-Home Support Services (IHSS), or Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI) benefits.
-Must be blind, deaf or hard of hearing, or have a disability
-Use the services of a trained guide, signal, or service dog
