If you have your current phone number on file, PG&E will automatically notify you about PSPS events that affect your addresses. You can login to your account to update your preferences.
Tools to manage your account, here, and complete tasks online.
Self-Identified Vulnerable Program, here, provides support for those whose health or safety would be at risk without gas or electricity.
Support may include:
- Proactive outreach and support during Public Safety Power Shutoffs, major emergencies and multi-day outages
- Doorbell rings or a doorhanger from PG&E if you do not respond to previous PSPS notifications
- Extra notice before power is turned off due to nonpayment
- Increased levels of support for rebates, discounts, and other programs
Medical Baseline customers may already be enrolled as a vulnerable customer and do not need to re-enroll.
Eligibility
- For outage notifications:
Open to all PG&E customers.
- To Self-Certify as a Vulnerable Customer:
Must be a PG&E residential customer and you or a household member has a condition that can be significantly affected by a disconnection.
- Third-Party Notification:
Open to all PG&E residential customers, with consent of both parties.
Application Process
- For Self-Certified Vulnerable Customers:
To apply call.
Once you are enrolled, Vulnerable Customer Status remains on your account for 90 days. You can resubmit a program application to apply for a one-year extension beyond the 90 days - visit website to download Vulnerable Customer Application.
- Third-Party Notifications:
Sign up by mail by downloading Third-Party Notification Form, complete the form and send it to the PG&E mailing address
