Provided by CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF REHABILITATION
Descriptions
Provides employment services and advocacy for individuals with disabilities. Assigns a job coach for each applicant to help learn clients about their job. This allows them to live independently, become employed, and have equality in the communities in which they live and work. Services include:
- Evaluates to determine vocational potential
- Offers counseling to select vocational goals
- Provides referrals to training programs when necessary
- Provides placement assistance

Application Process
Visit website or visit during program hours to fill out the Vocational Rehabilitation Services Application (form DR 222) and return it to the local DOR office. DOR will contact applicants afterwards and schedule an intake.
Documents
Any documents about applicants' disability, recent records and benefit letters, and a list of names, addresses, and telephone numbers of doctor's professionals, and organizations applicants have consulted about their disability.
