Provides the public with information on safe consumer practices. Protects the public from businesses and people who promote deceptive products or services.
Services include:
- Licensing for professionals and business owners including doctors, dentists, pharmacists, contractors, cosmetologists and automotive repair facilities.
- Takes consumer reports on licensee conduct and mediates consumer complaints involving licensees.
- Provides information and education about the businesses they regulate.
- Drafts new consumer laws
