Independent Living Program

Descriptions

Provides life skills development, academic and career planning, job readiness training, and connection to community resources. Services are offered to current and former foster youth between the ages of 16 to 21. The goal is to support their efforts in transitioning from youth to adult independence.

Eligibility

Youth must be a current or former Foster/Probation Youth between the ages of 16 to 20
and must have been in foster care and/or on Juvenile Probation at the age of 16.

Note: Some ILP services can be provided to foster/probation youth starting at age 14

Application Process

Must be referred by the Santa Barbara County Department of Social Services
