Descriptions
Provides assistance to individuals and families with questions about Medi-cal. Also offers support with submitting Medi-cal application and education about the proper use of health insurance.
Eligibility
Eligibility criteria based on annual income:
-U.S. citizens and legal residents earning up to 138% of the Federal Poverty Level.
-Children and young adults under age 26 (including current and former foster youth) regardless of immigration status, with household earnings up to 266% of the Federal Poverty Level.
-Special programs are available to pregnant women, the terminally ill, those needing long-term care, and the aged, blind, or disabled.
Undocumented adults who are 26 years old and older may qualify for Medi-Cal coverage for emergencies.
Application Process
Call for appointment.
Documents
-Social security cards for all applicants
-Month of Pay Stubs (for all working members in the family)
-Proof of address (utility bills, pay stub, government-issued ID)
-Proof of any other income received (Disability / SSI / Unemployment / Child Support / Spousal support
-Rent receipt or mortgage statement or letter from the landlord stating rent amount and frequency and what is included in the rent, etc.
-Birth certificate for all members of the family applying to Medi-Cal, government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's license, etc.) for adult applicants
