Descriptions
Offers weatherization and gas bill financial assistance to qualified households. Assistance includes:
California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE)
Offers 20% gas service rate discount for clients who meet income eligibility.
Direct Assistance Program (DAP) Weatherization & Furnace Services
Offers no-cost energy-saving home improvements for qualified renters and homeowners.
Gas Assistance Fund (GAF) - One time bill assistance
One-time bill assistance of up to $100 may be available to qualified customers.
Level Pay Plan
Offers gas service payment plan to create more even monthly gas bill throughout the year. Also offers special payment arrangements (i.e. splitting up payments into multiple payments each month, etc).
Medical Baseline Allowance
Offers reduced gas service rates if someone in the household is seriously disabled, or has a life-threatening medical condition.
Eligibility
1.If you or another person in your household receives benefits from any of these programs:
Medi-Cal/Medicaid
Healthy Families Categories A & B
Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)
CalWORKs (TANF) or Tribal TANF
Head Start Income Eligible - Tribal Only
Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance (BIA GA)
CalFresh / SNAP (Food Stamps)
National School Lunchs Free Lunch Program (NSL)
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
OR
