Resource Families

A county program that supports caregivers, couples, and families who house children in foster care. Support services include:

• Training
• Support with the application process
• Completing the required list

The term Resource Family describes all types of living situations which include:

• Kinship homes: relative, non-relative extended family, and Adoptive parents.

• A friend of the family, or a mentor to the child,

• Have no previous relationship with the child

• Community homes (Group Homes) that are ready to care for a child in foster care.
