Descriptions
Provides one to three nurse home visits for newborns within the first three months of bringing the newborn home. Nurse visit includes:
- Lactation (breastfeeding) support
- Mother and newborn medical assessment
- Baby blues/postpartum depression information and support
- Information and referrals for developmental concerns
- Preschool for siblings
- Addressing emotional issues
- Connection to other local resources
Eligibility
Must be a Santa Barbara County resident
Must be a family with a newborn
Must not be receiving postpartum nurse home visits from another agency
