Descriptions
Provides public transit service within Lompoc, Mission Hills, and Vandenberg Village. Offers one round trip to Santa Barbara each Tuesday and Thursday. Offers three round trips Mon-Sat to Buellton and Solvang via the Wine Country Express.
COLT public transportation is equipped with wheelchair ramps and space for wheelchairs. Bicycle racks are available on all COLT buses. Service animals are permitted to accompany individuals with disabilities.
Passengers with disabilities are eligible for reduced fares on fixed route buses. Visit website for bus routes.
ADA Curb-to-Curb Service is available for persons with disabilities. Must call to schedule pick up.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a Federal Law. Prohibits discrimination based on one's disability in regard to employment, public services, and transportation. The ADA guarantees people with disabilities equal access to public transportation. Public transportation providers cannot refuse service to those with disabilities.
Eligibility
Fixed-route transit is open to all.
ADA Curb-to-Curb Services are available to individuals certified by the ADA.
Application Process
For fixed route transportation, visit a ticket office to buy tickets.
Locations to purchase tickets can be found on website.
To apply for ADA certification:
-Must have a temporary or permanent disability
-An application must be filled out describing their disability or condition that prevents them from using a fixed bus route. Application can be found here: https://www.cityoflompoc.com/home/showdocument?id=1220
-Application requires signature from healthcare provider.
Applications must be turned into the office
Once application is approved, call to make schedule a ride.
