B-line Paratransit / Dial-a-ride Services

Add to My List

Provided by BUTTE COUNTY ASSOCIATIONS OF GOVERNMENT (BCAG)

Descriptions

Provides shared ride services to meet the needs of seniors and persons with qualifying disabilities who are unable to use the B-Line fixed route public transportation services. Service is provided for all types of trips, including medical, shopping and personal travel.
The B-Line offers two types of paratransit services; ADA Paratransit and Dial-A-Ride. Paratransit provides door-to-door ambulatory and non-ambulatory transportation services.

Eligibility

New paratransit riders must be registered and certified eligible by B-Line before using the service. To register for services, please complete the appropriate application online and return it to the B-Line office.
B-Line offers two types of paratransit services:
1. ADA PARATRANSIT - Individuals who cannot utilize the fixed route system must receive Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) certification to utilize this service. This certification ensures trips are given priority status and will not be charged premium prices.
2. DIAL-A-RIDE - Certification for individuals with disabilities that would not be eligible for ADA service as well as seniors age 70 and older. Dial-a-Ride trips will not be given priority status should individuals with ADA certification need the service and may be charged higher (premium) fares.
